The local area has paid out virtually $16,000 to "brand" four of the Alamo Colleges with the local area logo.

Meanwhile a "breakdown in communication" left overseers at this educational school astonished by the freshly fitted logo.

John Strybos, affiliate vice chancellor of services performance and makeup organisation, said this is part of an effort to brand label the local area with a universal logo.

The brand label at this educational school cost $730 and shells the educational school fasten on both boundaries of the double-sided monument west of Gonzales and McCreless Halls on San Pedro Avenue.

The indication bears the label of the educational school and was publically dedicated at an divulging commemoration April 16, 2004, President Robert Zeigler said.

The college's agent fasten was taken on in the mid-1950s. The circular, bronze fasten has a superstar in the center with five icons that exemplify characteristics of the college.

Winged feet symbolize swiftness, athleticism and security, things typified by the Greek messenger god Hermes.

An open journal symbolizes the studying method, literacy, lecturing, quest for learning and understanding.

A harp exemplifies pleasure, congratulate, rhymes and music.

At the foundation is a candle of studying symbolizing certainty, smartness, life, wisdom, learning, guidance and enlightenment.

Finally, a scale exemplifies righteousness, just fraction, independence and balance.

Strybos said Anderson Marketing Group, the promulgating firm that came up with the new local area logo for Alamo Colleges, has bestowed demonstrations to present the photograph at standard board meetings for more than two years.

Zeigler and David Mrizek, vice head of educational school services, said they were oblivious of the alteration of the signs.

Zeigler said, "There was a making acquaintance breakdown."

Strybos said the local area works collectively on a large number of ventures and at times making acquaintance is better than at other times.

Although Zeigler said he appreciates this is the main purpose the local area is going, he said, "I hope the knowledge was divided with the educational schools before."

He adjoined that he would have likeable to give input and observe a preview of the change.

Zeigler said he called services Superintendent David Ortega when a person advised him it was there at the end of last week.

Ortega said he got a pay for rank over the getaways and that the five educational schools will have the new brand.

Mrizek said he didn't recognise it was happening.

"It doesn't depart with remnant of the monument. It shells up our college's seal; that does annoyance me," he said.

Districtwide, 19 signals and monuments were called with one of the Alamo Colleges' logos.

Strybos said, "Some have messages, some have logos, some have both."

At St. Philip's College, he said, two double-sided signals and one wall-mounted indication were graded, which cost about $7,322.

Northeast Lakeview College has one single-sided indication and one arched, single-sided indication costing $4,675.

Although Palo Alto College's signals have not been concluded, Strybos said that educational school has one single-sided indication and four single-sided monuments, which are charge at $3,235.

Northwest Vista College has not been concluded but has one double-sided indication, one corner, double-sided indication and one single-sided submission sign. Strybos said the cost has not been ascertained yet because the creations are not finalized.
